Hi there!

Let’s get to know each other.

We’ll start…
Picture

Let’s talk about being a leader. Maybe it feels natural for you, maybe it doesn’t. Regardless, the more responsibility you take on, the harder it gets. Especially because being a leader in today’s world requires a recipe of ingredients that sometimes feel like they don’t belong together. Things like: empathy for people and understanding the needs of the company; assertiveness and humility; acting with curiosity and being decisive. It can feel confusing, exhausting, and lonely at times. But you’re not in it alone (in fact, you shouldn’t be alone!).
Full Potential Leadership Circles were designed to help you build a solid foundation of knowledge and practices that allow you to lead with personal integrity and with sustained energy (meaning, be true to you and don’t get burnt out!). Most importantly, the circles were created so you could have a safe space with a group of leaders that you can learn with and lean on during the program and into the future.

The first part of the course is about Leading On the Inside and covers themes that are critical to leading in a way that is personally authentic and sustainable for the long term. The second part of the course is about Leading On the Outside in your interactions with others, whether they be your team, your peers, or the audience that you are communicating with.

How does it work?

The program is seven months long. Each month you will do individual learning assignments in preparation for a 90-minute live (virtually-delivered) professionally facilitated peer coaching session. You will be grouped with 3-5 other GCY alumni. In addition, there will be 2-hour live virtual kick-off and closing retreats. See the full course outline and schedule here.
*Warning*: the content may cause deep reflection and lead you to excessive journaling, pondering in the park, or taking over social conversations with talk of what kind of leaders the world needs…

You get the benefits of not just a professional coach, but also the insights of peers. You also learn through these sessions skills for drawing out solutions from others through using coaching techniques.

Full Potential Leadership Circles is has been created just for Global Citizen Year alum…you will be our first class! The program is modeled on our full-length fellowship program. Over 50 leaders from around the world have participated in our full program, including several GCY staff.

Here is some of what they have to say:

One of my staff told me the other day how much she appreciated the coaching and development I was putting into the team; she said she has seen a big difference in how I am leading. This is a direct result of what I am learning in the Full Potential Leadership program.

The programme at Full Potential Ventures pushed me to think deeper, with more compassion and clarity about where I was and where I wanted to be. The programme is particularly unique as it works alongside a leader's journey. I received exceptional, heartful 1:1 coaching, intentional and cutting edge input sessions as well as invigorating peer coaching spaces. I solved some very difficult and complicated issues and learned, in the process, so much more about me as a leader. This course truly changed me as a leader. I went from being a leader who serves externally (others), to a leader who serves holistically, (everyone including myself).

The Full Potential Leadership (FPL) program not only allowed me the rare opportunity to think about my personal development but it also forced me to build in time to do so. I would always look forward to the opportunity to engage with other likeminded leaders who reflected varied professions in nonprofit work and created a structured support system to tackle my personal work challenges. The lessons that I learned from participating in the FPL program have pushed me to rethink how I show up as a leader with my colleagues and how to continuously recenter myself in my work. It taught me that it's more important to learn which questions to pose rather than always feeling the need to provide solutions. The tools that I learned while in the FPL program have allowed me to continue to integrate and center components of self-reflection and analysis into my work and that of my team.
